Two electric diapoles of moment ofP and 64P are placed in opposite direction on a line at a distance of 25cm. The electric field will be zero at point between the dipoles whose distance from the diapole of moment P is?

electric field is proportional to P/d3
hence the required condition for zero electric field is-
P/x3 = 64P /(25 –x)3
[(25 –x)/ x ]3 = 64 P/ P
on solving we get
x = 5 cm
