The force between two charges kept a distance D,apart in air is F.If these charges are kept at the same distance in water,the force between them comes out to be F’.What is the ratio of two forces F’/F equal to?dielectric constant of water can be assumed to be 80 at room temperature?

As the charges and distance between the charges are same they will cancel out.Dielectric constant of air is 1.Dielectric constant of water is 80.....(given)Therefore,F`/F=1/80
