Dear student,

Here $C_1$ and $C_2$ are in parallel. The effective capacitance of this combination is, thus, $C'=C_1+C_2$ .

This combination is series combination with capacitor $C_3$ . Hence

$C_{eff}=\dfrac{(C_1+C_2)(C_3)}{(C_1+C_2)+C_3}$
