Q.A hemisphere of radius r has a charge +q at its centre O.Then, another charge of same magnitude is kept along one of the diameter passing through the open end surface of the hemisphere at at a distance x from centre such that x>r.Will be there any flux change on the introduction of the second charge on the hemisphere? Add the other hemisphere to complete the sphere. The second charge produces zero net flux through the sphere. From symmetry, each hemisphere has the same net flux Φ. Thus 2Φ=0, implying that Φ=0. Thus, there will be no change in flux.
