Dear student 
Here you shoud apply KVL in two loop , 
Naamely 1 ohm , 1ohm loop and 4 ohm 4 ohm loop 
Let current in them be I1 and I2 .
So, apply Kvl in 1st loop 
8V – I1 -I1  =0
8v – 4I2 – 4 I2 = 0 
8 = 2 I1
I1 = 4A 
I2 = 1A 
Current in AB Will be I1 -I2 
it wil be 3A from A to B
