I think you forgot.  sin 
 in general sine wave.  E sin ( k x-wt )   k=2 pi ÷wavelength    and w = 2pi×frequency 
 thus you got .speed of light in that medium 
    since medium is non magnetic . magnetic   

 material that is not magnetic the permeability is μ0, so that:

 

cm=(μ0ε)1/2Cm =

Cm =(mue ×epzel....)^1÷2 . thus your get dielectric constant
