why in the practical transformer core loss component is connecter in parallel with the core of the transformer

i thnk ths is so due to increase the the flow of curent in a faster rate

this is a ckt diagram of a sc test performed on the transformer...

the core loss are very small because applied voltage is only 5 to 10 percentage of the total voltage and hence can be neglected. Thus the wattmeter reading measures only the full load copper loss..plz approve..
