Consider the self inductance per unit length of a solenoid at its centre and that near its ends. Which of  the two is greater?

Dear  nikhil ,

 Self inductance at the Centre will be more . By formula it is actually double because the lines leak out (bends) at the ends and so the net flux linked remains actually half at the ends whereas at the centre whole of magnetic lines are linked to the area.
