When an AC source is connected to a capacitorthere is a steady current in the circuit. Does it mean that the chargesjump from one plate to the other to complete the circuit ?

Dear Nikhil

there is no jumping of electron. charge stored on the plates flows in the circuit. thats why there is current. since its an ac source charge on both plates changes with time to positive and negative alternatively.
