What is the maximum value of power factors and when does it occurs

maximum value of power factor = 1
As power factor is associated with the cos term, it would maximum when cosphi = 1 and phi = 0.
ANd the case would be as a pure resistance and ac voltage source closed eq. circut.
In this  case phi that is phase angle is zero and cosphi = 1.
