AC & DC. Definition: Alternating Current (AC) is a type of electrical current, in which the direction of the flow of electrons switches back and forth at regular intervals or cycles. Current flowing in power lines and normal household electricity that comes from a wall outlet is alternating current.

Hello Gowri DC (direct current) is the unidirectional flow or movement of electric charge carriers (which are usually electrons). The intensity of the current can vary with time, but the general direction of movement stays the same at all times.

Hello Gowrishankar

In direct current (DC), the electric charge (current) only flows in one direction. Electric charge in alternating current (AC), on the other hand, changes direction periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction.

Dear Iitian......

The electric charge flows in only one directio is called as direct current (DC).the electric charge flows many diretions is called as alternation current(AC).

dear gowri sankar current is flowing in two ways
1.dc current
2.A.C current
dc current means direct current which has does’t change in magnitude and direction  A.C current means alternating current which flows  periodically it is represented as sin wave

MR.GOWRI SANKAR,

DC: Direct Current means the unidirectional flow of current or moment of charges.    AC:means the flow of electric current perodically reverses the direction

In direct current, the electric current only flows one direction.electric charge in alternating current on the other hand charges direct periodically. The voltage in AC circuits also periodically reverses because the current changes direction.
