Whenever a positive chaged particle is released from rest it will follow the field lines. That is it will move in the direction of electric field. Here electric field due to the bottom spheres at the point positve charge is released is rightwards. Therefore just after released it will move RIGHTWARDS. It is valid if the charged patricle have negligble velocity or at rest. Here it is released from rest. If the charged body is negative then it will travel leftwards...
