please explain in simple terms.i don’t know much about currents as im just reading in class 8.when batteries are connected in series why the positive and negative ends points where the batteries are connected not exchanging electrons

when we talk to battery we talk about potential difference , between +ve charge and -ve charge. charges keeps on moving due to this potential difference and due to this we get current . when +ve terminal and -ve terminal charge are balanced , we say that there is no potential difference and no electric current will flow. they keep on exchanging electrons , so that they are able to produce current .
