Let’s say the current in 5 ohm branch is I.
This current gets divided into 2 ohm resistor and 4 ohm resistor.

Let current in 2 ohm branch be I1,so current in 4 ohm branch will be I-I1.
Then the potential difference across 2 ohm and 4 ohm resistor will be same.

2I1=4(I-I1) =>I1=(2/3)I

As the total current is not given , hence we cannot put the value of I.
