In a purely inductive ac circuit the average power is 0 but there is non zero instantaneous power. How is it so?

In a purely inductive ac circuit the average power is 0 but there is non zero  instantaneous power. How is it so?

Pure inductor and pure capacitor refers that it has no internal resistance. If internal resistance in inductor or capacitor is zero, so voltage and current will always be 90 degree out of phase with each other. Although there will be reactive power in the circuit.
