if we applied pressure on the electropositivity metal then electron will emit or not?

electropossitive metals are those metals which have extra electrons and they tend to loose electrons and form possitive ions which is stable . 
so, they will emit electrons for sure , but pressure will not be the criteria for that , 
u need to put the light with required intensity and minimum threshold frequency .
