I am unable to understand how is conservation of momentum when a ball collides with the ground and rebound.consider this:let m1=mass of ball, m2= mass of surface, u1= initial vel. of ball, u2= initial vel. of surface=0, v1=final vel. of ball, v2= final vel.of surface, then m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2m1u1=m1v1(u1=u2=0)u1=v1.. but u1 not= v1.
