Let x volts be at P point and 0 volts at Q point.
Then from KVL,
The eqn. of net current at juntion P must be zero.
Therfore,
(x+6)/3 + (x-0)/1 + (x – 9)/5 = 0
(5x + 30 + 15x + 3x – 27) = 0 
23x = – 3
x = -3/27 volts
Current in 1 ohm resistor would be: 
I = -3/27
minus sign indicates the current will flow from Q point to P point.
