how does the melting point and specific resiatnce of a wire decided?
why should the resistance be more while the melting point is less in the fuse wire?
what is the main differece between melting point and the specific resiatance?

Dear student 
Resistance is more in fuse  wire so that to pass less current . 
as you know 
H = i^2Rt 
So as less current less heat will be generated . 
Melting point is less because as to wire can melt quckly , so that we can avoid short circuit.
