The maximum power will be transferred through R when the value of R is equal to Thevenin resistance of the network.
we can calculate thevenin resistance by short circuitng voltage source and open circuiting cuurrent source. So, The Thevenin resistance would come as 2.5 ohm.On calculating voltage across R yu will get it as 0.25 v , and power will be 
V*I = 0.625watt.
