Look from X.5 ohm and 10 ohm are in parallel.
Their equivalent resistance =10/3 ohm
Now erase the part AFE.replace the resistance 10 ohm between AB by 10/3 ohm.
Now again look at ckt.current flowing from X through 10/3 ohm.at the point B it again breaks up in two component.
(5+10)=15 ohm in parallel to 5 ohm.
Equivalent resistance=15/4 ohm.
So finally the ckt becomes 10/3 in series with 15/4.
Or total equivalent resistance=85/12 ohm.
