Find the current through the 10 ohm resistor from the fig attached

Deat student,

Apply Kirchoff’s law to the two loops to eliminate the two unknown variables $i_1$ and $i_2$ .

Hence, $4.5=3(i_1+i_2)+6i_2=3i_1+9i_2 \implies 1.5=i_1+3i_2$

For the smaller loop, $3+10i_1=6i_2$

Hence $i_1=0,i_2=0.5A$
