Electric potential of a point in an electric field is the amount of work done in moving one unit of positive charge from infinity to that point Now, what is infinity and electric field Potential difference is the amount of work done in moving a unit of charge, (positive or negative)from one point to another point in a conductor Or it is the difference in electric potential of two points Now in electric potential we only talk about positive charge and in potential difference we talk about both positive and negative Why????

Electric potential of a point in an electric field is the amount of work done in moving one unit of positive charge from infinity to that point

Now, what is infinity and electric field

Potential difference is the amount of work done in moving a unit of charge, (positive or negative)from one point to another point in a conductor
Or it is the difference in electric potential of two points

Now in electric potential we only talk about positive charge and in potential difference we talk about both positive and negative

Why????

Electric field is the area around an electric charge in which an force of attraction or repulsion can be observed. The electric field of a charge is not a fixed area it lasts long for infinity but the magnitude of force decrease when we go far to the charge .
