Dear student,

You may use an important theorem for resolving this type of a symmetric circuit.

”The junctions along the symmetric bisector of the line joining A and B can be opened”

From this law, the branch AOB can be seperate from that of the above and then a simple circuit of series and parallel is formed as shown in figure.568-2050_circuit.png

Due to symmetry we can remove resistance on opposite arc of AB.
THen you can easily solve and get answer 4R/7.
