High resistance R, used in the secondary circuit does not affect the balance point because, at balance point the galvanometer shows no deflection implying the absence of current in this condition.

Dear student
"NO, THE HEIGH RESISTANCE 'R' USED IN SECONDARY CIRCUIT WON'T EFFECT THE BALANCE POINT." Its because the current, effected by the high resistance is not flowing through the "galvanometer".
