car battery is of 12v .8 dry cell of 1.5v each are connected in series can give 12v but such cell are not used in starting a car why?

Dry cells used in series will have high resistance (about 10 ohm)and hence provide low current,while a car battery has low internal resistance (0.1ohm) and hence gives high current for the same emf that is needed to start the car.
