DBE stands for double bond equivalent. It is also called degree of unsaturation.
To calculate double bond equivalent of a compound if its structure is given, count total number of
$\pi$ bonds and rings in it.
In the given structure, number of $\pi$ bonds is 12 and that of rings is 8.
So, its DBE is 20.
