Hi,Please explain me that when capacitors are in parallel why is the positive plate of one capacitor connected to positive plate of other capacitor ....whereas in series the positive plate of one capacitor is connected to the negative plate of other capacitor. plz do reply soon

There is nothing like positive or negative plate in a capacitor!

It is because of the cell with which they are connected!

When you connect the + terminal of cell with a capacitor, that plate gets + charge and the other negative!

I hope now you understand more clearly!

Yes I do agree with you but when u observe carefully the capacitors connected in series whereas the one connected in parallel,it is in the syestem which I mentioned above
