BAND WIDTH: a measure of the width of a range of frequencies, measured in hertz

for example if you take a light source (for example red light) the light doesn''t emmit only a single wave length but it emmits a range of wave length for exmle 100 micrometers-200 micrometers this 100-200 range is called as bandwidth of that source
