Why do we use thick copper strips in a meter bridge?

Dear Shalini,

we use thich wire so that the resistance of the wire remains constant is tends to 0;

R= rho * l /A A= area,

Thick copper wires are used because it provides zero or negligible end resistance and hence to minimise error
