The current is not reduced but the voltage decreases and power is also dissipated in the form of heat.

yes, because it distibute in different paths and also resistres try to oppose the current.

no it does not reduces this is in accordance to law of conservation of current because work of a resistor is to resist the current not eat up the current... :D
