resistance= resistivity*∫dl/A,, now both dl and A are scalars, due to which bending, which is a change in direction, does not change the value of dl or of A, and therefore ∫dl/A remains unchanged.

Resistance of a wire depends upon the resistivity of the material , length of the wire, Area of cross-section of wire.

So None of these quantities changes when we bend a wire across its cross-section. and thereby resistance do not change.

Dear Shrawan Kher,

Bending a Wire does not change the Resistance of the wire because the Corss-sectional are remains the same & not affected !!

Hope this made you understand !!

All te Best & Good Luck !!
