HOW DOES SHORT CIRCUITING TAKES PLACE?????????? PLS ILLUSTRATE

In A Circuit if The Initial and the Final Point of the Circuit are at Wqvi potentials , Then as Their Potential diffrence become 0 . The Circuit is said to be SHORT CIRCUIT.

say , some amont of current is flowing through a wire connected across a battery.if you decrease the lenght of the wire then the resistance will drop ,resulting in increase of current which produces more heat leading to fire.(provided the resistance decreases by great amount)
