Does the speed of a charged particle remain constant when it is attracted by another opp. Charged particle

Speed can remain constant only when the object is not applied by an external force. If there is any kinda external force then the object is bound to accelerate and its speed would increase or decrease.

As with the case of a charged particle, as it is attracted towards the opp. charged particle, its speed would increase.
