what happens if you replace the burnout fuse wire with a much thicker wire?

Dear Aditya

If we replace the burnout fuse with much thicker wire then wire will not burn even at higher current. Function of fuse in the circuit will vanish.

dear aditya when we replace the burntout fuse wire with a much thick wire the resistance of the wire decreases thus a large amount of current can pass through thus the heat produced by the passing of current will not be enough to melt at the same amount of current at which the previous wire melted thus it willl allow a greater current to pass through which may dammage the appliance
