Dear student ,c2 molecule exist.According to MOT both bonds in C2 molecule are pi bonds .It exist in space but under normal environment it cannot exist as 4 electron bonding with another 4 electron is not stable due to large repulsion between electron and is very unstable.With regards MahimaAskiitians forum
