There are so much funding for research work fromm india, but some of the places where good research work is going on is :
1.IISC banglore
2.IITS
  1. NITs
  2. bits pilani
  3. nsit
  4. dtu
  5. almost every good colleges 
  6. and if you want to genuinely research then you should apply for DRDO and ISRO , i think that will be best for you , 
  7. you can also do it under some professors of iit , you need to consult them and put your idea. 
  8. you can also get funded from indian government
