What are the merits and demerits of taking a year off?

do not have a negative mindset always have an impression of clearing iitjee in very 1st attempt itself .This would have positive mindset.however not qualifying in first chance one can go for the very second chance with the motto of qualifing.

taking a year off can cause uneasy as it take one year of your in acmpus selection also current students are preferred as compared to 1 year dropout.

so always try to rule out option of getting into second attempt.

Frankly ultimate goal of all of us is good job -- good job can only be get through good college
so go through placement status of college which u can get in this attempt ... otherwise go for drop as there is no disadvantage of taking drop but for taking drop u should be very determined for ur aim and ready 2 do lot of hard ,otherwise gap may lead you same situation as u are in right now with more guilt and embarassment.u can better college through drop.
