Yes you may leave the topic, just focus on what you understand well

You shouldfocus only on  the known topic well . 
is time just focus on how you can maximize score by the topic you know well.
Give test series and try to analyse mistakes from that.

Yeah you could skip it from jee main as I didn't saw any questions appearing from this part from past 7 years,but it's mandatory for you to study for jee advanced, since one cannot interpret from where questions can appear

ye s      youm can leave it just read hte last topic s of physics class 12 as they are easy and scoring chapters
