toroid is a 3d object obtained by rotating a close plain curve about the axis that is always perpendicular , to the plane of the closed curve . 
it can be obtained by bending a cylinder in the form of circle , and connecting the ends of all circles . 
the magnetic field in the toroid are in the form of a circular loop . 
and circular coil is just a coil and toroid is the sum of 5-6 circular coils joined end to end . 
THE MAG. FIELD IS STRONG IN CASE OF TOROID , THAN SOLENOID .
