yes , obviously , frst of all u need to understand that cs( comp sci and engg ) is preferrable over IT as far as placement is concerned . 
so, frst of all u have to check cs branch in top colleges , and if u will not get , then instead of choosing cs branch in lower college , its preferrable to choose IT in top colleges ,.
