You should consult your school supervisors , or the principal of the institution from which you have passed the board. they will be in the best position to find a safe solution to your problem. There are arrangements where in you can reappear for the board the next year because 75% or being in top 20 percentile is a must for NIT or IIT counselling as stated on their sites.
