For this to happen distance covered by cycle is 96+ distance covered by bu , 20t= 96 + t² , (t-8)(t-12) = 0 means at time 8 and 12 second they are side by side. This happens as at 8 second cycle overtakes bus , but since bus is continuously accelerating at time=12s it overtakes cycle and in question time is asked when cycle overtake bu , not for bus to overtake cycl . Please do approve my answer if correct
