Dude petroleum engineers do work in hard conditions but not in extreme conditions i have to inform u that last years highest package went to petroleum engineer from ism Decide ur future if u wanna do core courses (more advisable) go for other institutes if u wanna join iit as it has its own standards go for iit

petrolium will be better for you . because there are not left forests in india
