i live in delhi..is it possible for me to give wb-jee??are application forms of wb-jee available in delhi??are there any exam centres for wb-jee in delhi??if they are so also pls tel me..pls reply as soon as possible...

JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (EVETS) – 2009   FOR B.V.Sc. & A.H

 

Applications are invited for admission to Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) in West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences for the academic session 2009-10 on the basis of a Joint Entrance Examination to be conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.

 

Date of Examination : Sunday, 31st May, 2009.

 

Eligibility Criteria :

 

(a) Candidates must be Indian Citizens.

 

(b) Age : Candidates must have attained 17 years of age as on 1st July, 2009. There is no upper age limit.

 

(c) Educational Qualification : General Candidates must pass H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination recognized by the West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences with individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (or any other fifth subject) along with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the said qualifying examination (10+2). In respect of SC and ST candidates the aforesaid marks will be 40% instead of 50%.

 

Examination and Question Pattern : A written test will be conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. There will be two question papers. Paper – I : Biological Sciences – 100 marks (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.); Paper – II : Chemistry & Physics – 100 marks (2 p.m. – 4 p.m.). All questions will be of MCQ type and to be answered in OMR Answer Sheet. For every wrong answer 1/3rd mark(s) of that question will be deducted.

 

Residential Criteria : Candidates must have been residing in the State of West Bengal for a minimum period of 10 (ten) years as on 31.12.2008 or their  parents must be permanent residents of West Bengal having their permanent home addresses in the State of West Bengal. Residential certificate in this regard shall have to be obtained in the proforma as printed in the Application Form for EVETS-2009 from any of the competent Authorities as mentioned in the Information Sheet. 

 

Reservation ::  Reservation for SC/ST / PC (Physically handicapped) candidates will be as per Government rules. As the reservation for Physically Challenged (Handicapped) candidates is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed in the appropriate category i.e., General, SC and ST to which candidates belong.

 

Application : Candidates intending to appear in the aforesaid Joint Entrance Examination-2009 (EVETS-2009), shall have to apply in the prescribed Application Form which along with the Information Sheet will be available w.e.f. 24.03.2009 to 24.04.2009 from the Branch Offices of UNITED BANK OF INDIA at  Jadavpur, Sealdah, Hatibagan, BESUS - Howrah, Serampore, Bankura, Bardhaman, Durgapur City Centre, Medinipur, Tamluk, Krishnagar, Berhampore, Malda, Coochbehar, Siliguri, on all working days on  payment of Rs. 350/- in CASH.    

There is also a provision for obtaining Application Form along with Information Sheet from the Office of the BOARD through Postal request only w.e.f. 24.03.2009 by sending a Bank Draft of Rs. 400/- drawn in favour of ‘WEST BENGAL JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS BOARD’ payable at Kolkata to reach the office of the Board on or before  09.04.2009. The Application form once purchased cannot be returned or replaced.

 

Submission : The duly filled in Application Forms must be sent by Speed Post so as to reach the Office of the Board on or before 28.04.2009. Submission of Application Form by hand / courier service will not be accepted.
