Sir, Would please help me in answering the following questions ? 1.Four to five years from now, which institute will have better placements comparatively - IT-BHU or The New IITs(especially IIT Bhubaneswar(as it is nearest to my home town among the new IITs.)) ? 2.Which course has better placements(with higher pay-packages) - Civil Engg. or Chemical Engg. ? 3.Which course has more research opportunities - Civil Engg. or Chemical Engg. ? 4.Do the placements in a particular branch depend on the reputation and ranking of the institute ? For example, are placements in Civil Engg. at IIT Guwahati better than those in Civil Engg. at IT-BHU ? 5.IIT Guwahati has 2 courses in chemicals - (a)Chemical Engg. and(b)Chemical Science and Technology.How do these 2 courses differ from each other in academics and in job opportunities ?

Dear riejsh,

Both It BHU and IIT Bhubaneshwar are equally good,

In my opinion Civil is a better then Chemical.

Both the subjects of Chemical at IT BHU are equally good.
