Hi! I scored 89%(best 4) and 87% aggregate marks in CBSE class 12th board exams. Is taking a year off to study for IIT a viable option for me?Will I be at a disadvantange because of my board marks if I do so?
Dear Akshat,
Dropping a year for JEE is a very big Decision,
My advise is that you must take admission in the college you are getting admission and drop only if you are 100% sure that you can secure a good rank atleast in AIEEE.

there will be no AIEEE from next year sir as only one test will be conducted from 2013 in which weightage will be given to the board marks.Keeping that in mind, would it be advisable to take a year off?I am a little worried right now since I have only managed to score 89%.Will it be a major deciding factor in 2013?
