sir iam getting chemical in nit surathkal according to last year closing ranks in 5th round.should i relay on this?generally closing ranks increase or decrease and why

Yes !!

I think that you should wait for it but not beyond Round 4 !

Put NIT-Surathkal(Chemical Engg) as your first preference but do not trust it beyound Round 4 !!

But it is always safe to go for Round 5 but beter choose a good branch in any good NIT before that for a secure & safe position !!
