Keeping your future in mind i strongly suggest you to go for BITS-Pilani(Chemical Engg) !!
This is far much better than doing Mechanical Engg @ NIT-Surathkal !!!
The Preference list will be as so
1.BITS-Pilani(Chemical Engg)
2.NIT-Surathkal(Mechanical Engg)
