IS it possible to change the branch on the basis of performance of first year from biotech to any other branch as biotech constitutes bio in the first two semesters.

No dear...

This is not possible whatsoever !!

However BioTechnology is filled last in any IIT (or) NIT so you can change from it to something like BioEngineering but not the other branches !!!
